DROPPING THE HAMMER SEMINARS

Officers in Richmond, Chesterfield County, Powhatan, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Chesapeake and the Virginia State Police received training on how to survive an officer involved shooting at seminars in Richmond and Virginia Beach on August 4th and 5th 2009.  This valuable seminar received DCJS accreditation for in-service training.  This training was hosted and sponsored by VCOPS, the IBPO and local police unions in the two communities.  The photos below give a glimpse of the events.  Check out http://www.virginiacops.org/Articles/Shooting/shoot.htm to learn more about how you can be smarter if you are involved in a police shooting.  VCOPS' provides this training to all members of affiliated VCOPS locals.
